Help with building my neck
Yesterday I was shopping for clothes, and I went into a changing room with mirrors covering 2/3 of the wall, and I just happened to glance at one of the side mirrors, and I realised how thin my neck was, it made my head look really big. When I got home I measured my neck and it was 13 1/2 inches. which I think is really puny. So I wanna know how is best to add a couple of inches all round my neck? Will building up my traps also help, I do shrugs and dumbell raises for my traps, and they are just beginning to get a little bigger.
I especially need help with the back of my neck. Thanx. |

what is your height and weight ?
Personally I don't believe in using weights to stimulate neck growth. As your upper body increases in weight the circumference of your neck will increase as well... |

Yep sounds right to me. I had about 13.5" arms @ 150ish when I was in high school.
Right now my neck is 18.5" and 19.0" arms (right arm anyway). If I dont work my neck though it remains smallish, dipping into the 17 something range. The only guys I can think of with bigger necks than arms, are overweight men. |

Even though your neck seems to be about the right size, here is a link to a couple of decent neck exercises:
