does lotion morning and night really help? i guess it cant hurt.
greetings all,
i have these stretch marks, rather ugly ones, that span from my arm pit toint about 4 inches into my chest. They are big and noticable. At first i was satisfied because it is a sign of growth . no longer am i happy.
i do mostly incline press as my "meat n potatoes" lift. i have forgone flat bench due to shoulder issues. i also rarely perform decline lifts. my question is, should i do decline as a trade for incline, with the hope that the stretching in the upper pec will stop.? my mass in my upper chest is good, but i guess my lower pecs could use a little more "hang" and shape.
so this is my problem. has anyone had problems with stretch marks? and what did you do to stop and/or cover them? and.. is decline sufficient as a core chest lift (i will also do incline and flat DBs every other lift or so)?
your thoughts are useful. thank you

Stretch marks there are common. I have them as well. There isn't really much you can do. You can try rubbing lotion and/or vitamin E on those spots on a regular basis. I have heard that can help prevent future marks, but that is about it. They will fade in time.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

cocoa butter or vitamin E lotion works, it's fades them a lot, but doesnt ness. take them away
i used to use vitamin E daily, but it didnt prevent marks by making my skin more elastic, as i thought it might. i figure i would just wait until the stretching stopped, then apply vit. E to make it fade. i guess there isnt much to do to stop them. i have tight skin.
NrKris: my marks are similar to yours, altho maybe not as intense. The only thing i found that works best is to hide them with a decent tan.
otherwise, thanks for the comments everyone.
what does anyone think about the decline as the main lift. in theory i shouldnt still be stretching as much in my upper pec. right? in theory.
Don't mean to bring up a dead post but its better than starting a new one ! Yours are nothing compared to yours mine go from my shoulders all the way to my underside of my elbow...

increasing your zinc intake may help along with the use of the topicals that were mentioned in previous posts...
