i started working out 2 years ago, and i went from 150 to 190. and i went from 11%body fat to 19% and ive been doing no cardio, and takin in 250 some protein gs a day and have my calorie intake around 3200, and now i wanna try to cut back down to like 175, whats a good way to loose the fat and try to keep as much muscle as i can..... i wanna know how much cardio, what should my diet and calorie intake be , and as far as training do i wanna continue to list heavy or do i wanna cut the weight down and look for more reps..... thanks doods
You don't necessarily have to do cardio if your diet is right, but it will certainly help. There is not set amount of cardio that you need to do. I would say doing cardio 3-5 times per week is sufficient. Do a search for HIIT cardio. It really gets your metabolism going and I find it more fun than traditional cardio.
Your lifting routine doesn't need to change much, if at all. I would continue lifting towards whatever goals you have.
Post in the diet & nutrition forum for information about that. This is the most important part of cutting, so pay close attention to the advice given to you there.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
