It's a good change up routine. Tim Wescott suggested it to me about 3 months ago and I have used it for 6 weeks and then change again.

I used 5x5 for a whole year, cutting and bulking. Great results. I still revert to it from time to time.

    Peace.

Well, when I plan on benching heavy, I always start off with bench. Here's my last chest workout:

    Flat Bench - 5 X 5
    DB Press - 5 X 8-10
    Incline Bench - 3 X 10-12
    Cable Crossovers - 4 X 10-12

About every 3-4 chest workouts, I rotate my initial lifts. For example, I'll do heavy inclines, then heavy incline DB press for like 3-4 workouts. Then Decline, Flat, etc. I'll rotate flys in there, along with dips if I'm doing a decline routine. This is working pretty damn good for me actually, tho I haven't came acrossed many who does this for chest, but I suggest it.

He is talking about one exercise only not all the routine for chest.

Plouffe, don't you think that workout is a little too high volume?

    Peace.

I used to rotate the order of all my lifts, but now I started the P/RR/S routine. I do all different lifts for each week pretty much. I don't need to do this so much anymore.

Not really. You're taking a break between each set of only 5 reps.
