Question How many times?

I would like to know what you guys think about the "controversy" as to how many times a week you should train each body part. I have heard that it is enough if you train say your arms once a week hard because they are involved in assisting other body parts while working those out. Yet I have also heard you should train each body part three times a week if a particular body part(arms in my case) are lagging behind. My question is if working arms 3 times a week am I not overtraining?

This has been discussed many times. There are many variables that are involved in training a body part multiple times a week (intensity, volume, your own personal recovery ability..etc..). I don;'t think I would train arms 3 times a week though. Why would you do that?

What is a newbie? If you mean if I am new to bodybuilding, the answer is no. I have been working out for two years now
