When you say sore what do you mean? Tender to the touch sore or just muscle fatigue sore? Also, was it just this one time or is it like that all the time?
okay yesterday was chest/bicep/shoulder day and as the day progressed (after my workout obviously) my left side was beginning to get sore but not my right side, well i woke up this morning and my left pec and my left bicep was sore, but NOTHING on my right side was sore ... what is up? when i was working out yesterday i could notice that my left side was "working" harder and i could kinda tell that my left side was gonna be more sore, but still what does that mean? does me being right handed play a part in my right side being "stronger" or what? help me please. i've also noticed that when doing concentration curls i can pull more reps out of my left side than my right (altho i never do) but my right sides gives out after about 2x8!!! while i no i could pull all 3x10 on my left! i hate this because i never feel like my left side has been worked hard enough but yet it's always more sore than my right! HELP!![]()

sore like fatigue sore, it's becoming more frequently now, i think it started about 3 wks ago, but it only happens when i do my monday workouts! it's like my right arm has run out of strength to lift the weight while my left arm can go for many more

If you are getting that fatigued, why not move the shoulders to a different day and just do chest/biceps on monday? I was under the impression that both chest and shoulder exercises used your triceps a lot, so they would probably be pretty tired after doing one or the other.
Ok, that's not that big a deal then. I would change the workout a little; try chest and tri's on Monday then back and bi's on Tuesday, Wednesday legs, and Thursday shoulders then two days off. The idea is to split it up a little. You also might want to try working with dumbells for a little while.Originally Posted by Premiere
i definitely agree that dumbell work would be a good idea if you have a muscle imbalance.

haha i do use dumbbells (more often then barbell's neways) the only bicep exercise i do with a barbell is preacher curls, everything else is done with dumbbells. same for chest, i just use a barbell for when i bench, should i do a dumbbell bench instead?

i'd definitely use the dbs for benching. that way you have to push equally with both sides to complete the exercise.
