I read here once that the best position for our feet when squatting is apart shoulder width, having the toes 'pointed out.'
How far pointed out should the toes be?
close to a 40 r 45 degree angle?
I want my form to be as good as possible when squatting.
thanks, V.
You probably want to going with what is comfortable. I'm not an expert, but how I understand it, the closer your legs are together the more you hit the outer muscles of the quads (the sweep), and the narrower the stance the more you hit the inner muscles of the quad (the teardrop). I think how you point your toes will have this effect, but probably less significant. I try to go somewhere in between, but as narrow as I feel comfortable since that will hit the largest muscles of the quads. I probably point my toes out at a 65 degree angle...45 seems too much to be comfortable.
