    A new vein?

Well I was working out at the gym this evening. Tonight was my cardio night, did 30 mins on the treadmilll. Did 3 and a half miles but my energy level was high after the run so I thought i'd throw in some weights. Since it was cardio night I had a t-shirt with cut off sleeves (usually wear a T with sleeves when i lift). Anyways, did some preacher curls ( I think that's what it's called, knuckles pointing outwards, plates parallel to the floor?). To my amazement the large vein in my biceps started showing. This is a first for me and I got to wondering. Is this a good sign that I'm making gains? Or is it my body just increasing blood flow for some strange reason? I've been lifting for about a month and a half now. Dropped about 8 lbs in the process.

    Thanks

    Its hammer curls.

You are getting leaner, so the vascularity will become more apparent.

Preacher curls are usually done with a cambered bar over a pad where your arm rests. Can be done sitting or standing.

    Make sence?
