Pull ups

is there any combination of exercises I can do to increase the amount of pull ups I can do, aside from simply doing pullups. because right now I can do 2 really good pull ups, and I want to get to 12 as quickly as possible.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.. (1868)"

Lat Pulldowns, or use an assisted pullup machine...gradually working up to body weight

But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

Strengthen your lats as well as your arms and overall upper body. Your lats are mainly used but many other muscles are also used. There is a pyramid method posted here at IM that helps build the number of reps you can manage with your pull ups, try a search and try that routine.
