I don't have a problem stabalizing the DB's during my presses.

Dumbbells build up your stabalizing muscles much better than machines do as I've tried all of it before.

Re-read my post thats my point

Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. Abraham Lincoln

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Another combo advantage is it help thwart off adaptation. Something that even a little bit of in the long run helps tremendously

Well I'm sorry you feel that way. B/c most ppl here would agree that free weights including db's are far better than machines.

I'm telling you what works for me & many ppl here & for some reason you don't like it.

Ppl here including myself have said & feel that they find machines make you weaker if you do them to much compared to free weights.

That's the truth. Most of the big guys & pro's & powerlifters I've seen at my gym & on tv do not use machines very much if at all. I wonder why that is?

But if you like machines & they work for you that's great. I'm serious that's great. But for most of us, using machines too often will make you weaker.

I have no problem with you or anyone one here. I just wanted you to know that.

This is just something I've come to find in my 10yrs of training. & that's the opinion of others here.

But for real, if it works for you that's great. Maybe you'd be even strong on top of the machines doing some free weights to.

I always say variation is one key to growth.

Take care dude.
