drop sets

when to use them, compound movements, isolation, db bb? which. im doing back and bis today so any advice? how many drops, 1 2 3. any help at relating to drop sets.

Dropsets are not something you'll want to use all the time. If you're new to training, I'd avoid them altogether. I use them every two or three weeks. 1 drop is good...I'll do 2 from time to time, but I dont think its necessary. Its easier to do drops with dumbells or machines due to the ease of changing the weights. If you have a lifting partner, you can do them with BB movements. I've used them on both compound and isolation exercises.

i totally agree with var.

avoid them if you're brand new to lifting.
machines and dbs definitely make them easier to perform
1 or 2 dropsets in a single workout is plenty
don't use them every time you train
