Back and Hams on the same day

Because of some screw up to my split, I have to work back and hams together tomorrow. I usually do stiffies on ham day and have started doing regular deads on back day. Should I still do both or would that be too much stress on lower back. Thoughts?

Because I'm not on an Atkins Diet nor would I ever do one. I'm a BB not a dieter! - Jodi

nothing wrong with that, I train those muscle groups together all the time. I like to train them together actually. the hams are an important part of the dead, htrow in some good mornings along with that to.

Makes sense. I was afraid of overtraining my lower back.

alot of the time I hear people say that you have to stay away from lower back movements for fear of injury, but thats the opposite of what you want to do, you need to strengthen it so it can handle everything you throw at it. As a person who wants to have a phenomenal squat and dead when its all said and done, having a strong lower back and torso area in general is vital. Of course I would take it slowly b/c it is easy to hurt yourself by being overzealous. just as long as you are smart and don't try to do too much too quick you could benefit from it imo
