I have been working out for a year but i like NEVER do legs... I always do upper body... I tried doing squats the other day and i couldn't even get in the right position... i was bending my back when going down instead of going straight doing.. can anyone show me the correct form of squatting and how to get the form right.. thanks

This is a great site: http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html
Here's the section for thighs where you can see how the squat is done: http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ThighWt.html

Just remember, never bend your back! That's the single best way to damage yourself.

Search on this site for a thread I started titled "Squatting Like a Powerlifter, Squatting Big"

It will answer all of your questions. And if you like it, maybe ask the mods to make it a sticky topic.

yay.

There have been some nice threads on squatting, but let be throw in more 2 cents worth. FORGET about using any weight. Just practice form and then graduate to weights. Exaggerate good technique and practice it.
Don't use a belt....DO NOT USE A BELT. I you need a belt you are doing too much. Let the whole body catch up. A belt keeps you week
