Supersets can be a good way to mix things up and shock your muscles. As long as you are supersetting body parts in the same area, you are ok (ie bis/tris) Not something like bis/thighs. When you exercise, your CNS sends muscle recuperating nutrients to the affected muscle. If you change muscle groups dramatically, then you stop sending those recuperating/building nutrients and chemicals. This is the only drawback to full body workouts. But I am talking about getting the absolute best out of each workout, ideally. Supersets and full body workouts work still just fine.

Wow man, realx. It is the weekend and the board doesn't get that much traffic on the weekend.

Supersets, like anything, need to be cycled into your training. Don't do them all the time as they can wreak havok on your CNS but every once in awhile they are a great way to mix things up. There are different ways you can superset. You can do supersets with the same body part (ie barbell curls supersetted with dumbell curls). You can do antagonistic muscle groups (ie bench press supersetted with rows). Or, the most demanding in my opinion, upper and lower (ie bench press superseted with squats). The last one (upper/lower) is a great way to get your heart rate up and get your blood flowing, just be careful of passing out or throwing up...lol.

hope that helps a bit.

Now see I learned something. I've been told that super setting goes as follows. Curls for example. Starting at 3 10lbs plates on each side, do 10 reps drop a plate from each side, do another 10 reps drop a plate from each side, and so on... What is this method called????

I have heard that referred to as burnouts. I have done that with bench press a few times. Put one person on each side of the barbell. Load up 5 10 pound plates on each side. Lift till you have a few reps left in you, drop 10 off each side, and repeat until you get to the bar and go to failure. It's really killer, but should only be done on occasion. The ideal time would probably be right before a rest week.

The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

You really need to shop somewhere else, pal. All you do is bitch. Maybe no one responds to your threads because of all the shit you pulled with your other sn, deadly13.

You're supposed to ask for advice, not demand it. hire a trainer.
