I used to use straps when I was 18 & 20yrs old but by 21 I stopped using them even for shrugs. Plus I was beginning to find that when going really heavy on barbell rows or shrugs (275+lbs) my inner elbow was really feeling strained as when you'd the weight up, you're tepmted to just let the weight drop & hang while being supported by the straps which puts strain on the inner elbows & biceps. |
