benfica SUXXX, GO BAYERNNN.. heheh..........hey, situps are not really a "bodybuilding workout" situps are pretty umch ore the army and sport or something like that, if you wanna workout your abs put some weight on your chest and do a slow situp with securing your feet tight....do a slow one and go back up...get it...? work your muscles, dont do them so fast so that your muscles dont know whats happening, and no situps dont work out your lower abs

I would do crunches instead. Full ROM situps are good for core strength though.

I used to do sit ups before I knew any better!!! I think crunches and reverse crunches are way more effective... high reps has always been what's worked best for me, but still slow and controlled... if they burn like hell they're working! (Everybody seems to have a different philosophy on ab training).

high reps work best for me when training abs, i do a lot of weighted ab work also. i love weighted swiss ball crunches and weighted decline crunches! they rock!

There is no way to isolate the upper or lower abs. An exercise can originate in either the upper or lower portion of the rectus, but you will still be working the entire muscle.

I love situps. I do them with weight and keep in a 12-16 rep range.

Has any one ever herd of Janda Situps? Way more difficult than any sit up I have ever done. A great exercise.

You can do a million situps a day, and until you get your diet in order and your bf down to a low enough %, you won't see your abs!

Screw mass reps lol do weighted. I have been experimenting with a new routine for my abs which consists of just about all weighted lifts and its working awsome right now. I see them getting stronger. I do them for usefull purposes (strong core) but if you want looks its all about the diet. Abs are made in the kitchen. Doesn't hurt to have some nice plates under the fat to start off heh.
