    any advice?

    Hello everyone!
This is my second post here, and I've been doing quite a lot of readings of the posts in this forum... so I decided to re-do my workout program since I don't think it was well made (5 months later and I gained maybe one kilo)

I'm 19 years old, 5'7 and 67kg (started having a little but ugly belly) and I would like to gain muscular mass & power.

When trying to make my plan, I came up with many questions...
    1. Is it okay if I only work a muscle group (ie chest) once per week?
It seems some people prefer a heavy lifting and some light lifting later in the week for the same muscle... I'm worried because I don't want to stagnate at the same weights, nor do I want to overtrain.

    2. If I want to gain muscular weight, do I need to do cardio ?(I would like to do it)

    3. Is it okay if instead of "resting" I do some jogging/biking ? (or maybe 20minutes of cardio would be enough each day that I'm lifting?)

    4. About the exercices, Robert DiMaggio says in his 10 Things You Must do to Gain Mass! to weight much more heavier weights but in smaller repetitions,
but how many exercices / sets per group?
I was thinking of 4 different exercices for almost each group, with 3 sets, between 4 and 8 repetitions.

And finally, would this be a fine workout ?

    monday: chest
    tuesday: arms
    wednesday: shoulders
    thursday: rest (or cardio?)
    friday: back
    saturday: legs / abs
    sunday: rest (or cardio?)

If you have any tips / answers / advices / insults they are much appreciated!
    Thanks

Are you just getting started ?

If so you would/should be able to make gains doing a full body workout 3 times a week if your diet is in line with your goals . I'd try this until you have some experience and get the fundamentals down . then start experimenting with the different split routines and exercises. Copy what someone else has done and adapt it to fit you.

    Just my 2 cents .

I agree with gwcaton, and as far as cardio goes, you want to keep it minimal if your trying to bulk up. If your trying to cut down then cardio is a good thing but to gain lean mass you want to increase your protein and carbohydrate intake and keep the cardio down IMO

nah, I started 5 months ago and I gained maybe one kilo (that I lost when going in vacation) that's why I needed some advice.

is there a way to still gain weight without emptying the fridge and possibly becoming obese in my case or you really need to bulk up then lose the fat (later) ?
