    getting back in shape for baseball?

    Hi, I'm new to these forums, I hope I put this in the right place. I played baseball up until my junior year in high school. I was a pitcher, and I would like to start playing again for my junior college, I'll be 21 in feb, so its been about 4 years, all four years I have not been keeping in shape.

    I was wondering what are some exercises I can do to get my arm strength back up to par. I don't have the time or money to commit to a gym membership so I'm limited to dumbells at home for the time being. I'm not too worried about hitting or anything, just want to be able to run and throw. Thanks for any help provided. Links or anything will help!

    Arm strength as in for throwing?? Long toss is the best for that. I guess it depends also what position you are playing too. Please post somemore specific info.

    I want to play pitcher again. Looking for some work outs I can do at home to get my arm strength back.

    edit:

    I also don't really have anyone to play catch with on a regular basis, so work outs involving dumbells, resistance, stuff like that I could do in my bed room.

    I would be more concerned about your legs. Most of your power during pitching is from your legs.

    Sprints and Stairs would be some good exercises.

    Squats and Lunges.

    Your arm will come back with throwing. Ease into it and work into long tosses as I'm Trying Stated
