    My Mindset

Everyone here has thier own thoughts and ideas on what works best, after reading most books and going through most weight training resigmes my mindset has seemed to have moulded into this..

p.s Feel free to comment on the topics which I mention.

1 The human body cannot "change" individual muscle shape (i.e. it cannot change the shape of lets say the pectoral through the use of incline to build more upper chest, incline to me only uses less of the pectorial and more of the antieror deltiod, not more upper chest)

2 The human body cannot "BUILD" cuts by high rep weight training, my thoughts are that the muscle dont just add their own cuts but cuts only come from bf% and the higher the amount of skeletal muscle you have the more impressive your muscles will look when cut. So an individual who is 4% bf who is 220lbs cannot really add any more cuts by weight training as your own gentic body structure determinds vascularity and muscle shape. But this individual can possible add more muscle mass and increase his muscle depth and size, but his muscle will only do one of two things; 1) Get bigger 2) Get smaller.

3 One dosnt have to be in the gym 6 days a week to get result, more is not better

4 I persoanly belive Nutrition is more important then what you do in the gym(to an obvious extent), I say this becuase if someone followed a poor routine but eats excellently he will gain size (muscle) and shape in some way, but a person that trains excellent but eats less calories then he burns daily will not gain ever, because what does the body have left to build muscle?

5 To many people belive they are hardgainer simply because they have fast metabolisms, when all they need to do is slow down a bit and eat food!

6 Compound exercises are the basics and every other exercise should revolve around them not vise versa.

7 Get big first (or just over the size your happy with) then cut up.

8 Dont chop and change routines every other week, you need a basis to work from.

9 Rest and recuperation is very important (work which is labouring on the body "can" have a negative affect on your workouts)

10 Your state of mind is very important to make consitant gains in the gym (i.e stress free, focused and feeling fresh and positive with as many workouts as possible).

11 Going to faliure is the key to realising your weekly improvments, and I personally belive the shere brutality of going to faliure on big compund excersise with heavy weights stimulate testosterone to be relesed into the body as i feel much more agressive after a heavy swift work out then with a low weight high volume workout.

    I agree completely.
"in the howling bleeding nights, the dogs plunge into the Volga and swim desperately to gain the other bank. The nights of Stalingrad are a terror for them. Animals flee this hell; the hardest stones cannot bear it for long; only men endure."
