Firsthand View of a Squat Suit Aiding a Deadlift

In case anyone has been curious what a squat suit and briefs will do for a lifter, watch this video. Notice how he almost has to force himself down far enough to grab the bar. Also notice how he uses a form hat makes his ROM almost nonexistent.

For the record, he's pulling 515lb and weighs 160.

That suit looks incredibly uncomfortable. I would be adjusting my balls every 30 seconds.

Yes, Cow, you would be.

Seriously, gear is so uncomfortable it's ridiculous. If it didn't have training benefits, and legality in competition, I'd give the shit up forever.

Yeah, the training benefits are nice. I would love to try the bench suit and hit 300 pounds just for the positive mental stimulation.

It helps in so many ways. It teaches your triceps to handle that kind of weight, it teaches your brain that you can handle that kind of weight. It also keeps your form dialled in. It's really incredible the way a bench press feels when you've hit your groove.

Chabot is one of the guys who gets almost nothing out of a poly shirt, most of the guys with meat on the chest use denim. He claims to get 25-35 out of a double poly, and his raw numbers agree with that.
