I woudln't do it, way too much risk of losing muscle mass. Also, your RMR will be raised whether you eat or not so you're really not winning anything.
i was wondering...since HIIT cardio increases your RMR> how about you eat your last meal and then do HIIT cardio.then go to sleep..would this mean you would be potentially burning more fat at night time?

does not even matter because you really should not train within 4 hours of sleep anyway, otherwise you will most likely end up with difficulty sleeping.

your metabolism drops like a rock at night, regardless of the type of execise that is performed. that is a function human biology that is encoded in DNA and can not be manipulated.Originally Posted by joey2005

I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
It is hard to say without knowing what your particular goals are. Why not try it for a week and check your muscle/bf ratio? If it works fine, if not, drop it.
Oh, and I personally have no problem sleeping within a few hours of a workout and a hot shower.![]()
hey LAM...does your metabolism slow down while napping during the day for like 30 minutes?

I haven't seen any data that says they do. however not getting sufficient sleep at night can have an adverse effect your metabolism during the day.
