    V-shape

When I look at myself in the front or in the back my sides are pretty straight down. Im wondering how to get a better V-shaped torso because Ive been doing wide grip lat pulldowns and wide pullups as well as some oblique work, but it hasnt really helped. Does anyone else have this problem or have any advice? Thanks.
PS-I havent found a really good oblique workout so maybe thats it, what do you guys do to target your obliques?

If you work the obliques they will grow and make your waist look wider.

    Work abs,skip obliques.

They get enough indirect stimulation from ab work and regular training.

Concentrate on lateral raise and lat work, and do vaccums for the waist along with regular ab work.

Build the delts with lateral movements, enlarge the lats, cut out obliques(gives a blocky mid section), reduce bodyfat to get a smaller waist line.

See, I know Ive read that obliques make the V shape, along with lats, because of their shape. Besides, I want those Tyler Durden abs, haha...

My body fat is already low, and no need to worry about my shoulders, theyre the most defined part of my body by far, especially the middle head. But thanks for the feedback anyways guys

Add dumbell pullovers and stiff arm pulldowns into your back training.

the V-shape is all about creating an illusion. you want to focus the lateral head of the shoulders and of course widening the back. there is no exercise that will make the waist smaller when looking at it head on...

I remember reading about vacuums in Arnold's book. Does it pay off to practice them at all if I'm not getting ready for a competition?
