    Cardio & Bulking

    Quick question:

Is cardio a complete no-no when bulking?

It depends on what body type you are. Endo's can get away with some cardio b/c they hold fats so easily (me) but most meso's and ecto's shy away from it. I should be getting into the gym to do cardio one day....lmao!

if your an easy gainer and you don't want to gain fat with the muscle than go for it in moderation when bulking. But if you are an easy gainer forget cardio. Cardio is your enemy if your a hard gainer trying to gain.

i've heard different, everyone needs to do cardio regardless of bulking, cutting or just maintaining, even if its only once a week, as the most important muscle in your body is your heart, and if your heart is weak you will never progress

bottom line is neglecting cardio can have a negative effect on gains, i'm a hardgaining ecto but after this cut i will still do cardio at least once a week, even if just for 15-20mins to keep the heart and lungs in shape (i suffer from athsma and poor blood circulation, so for me this is another reason why cardio is essential)

so yes do cardio but keep it to a minimum when bulking

I don't ever do cardio. my metabolism is so high that I get ripped just from lifting freeweights. The down side is lossing the muscle easy.

the summer after my sophmore year of college I was a really lean 155 lbs., very muscular. By the end of the summer I was 140 because I went wakeboarding everyday. I love wakeboarding, but lossing 15 lbs. of hard earned muscle really sucks.

Good point D, cardio is very good for the heart. I wish I had the ability to get my ass on the bike or treadmill....I always slack off when it comes to that.
