never tried there pull down machine but when it comes to bars and plates and such york is were it is at. they make great products that will last a lifetime.
I am considering some pieces from York Barbell. I am looking at their Lat pulldown that is plate loaded, and maybe a FID Bench, but am not sure of the quality of their equipment. I don't want to get a pulldown machine and have it bind up at points in it's range of travel. The cheap pully machines are just not worth having. Any thoughts on these machines? I am looking at Body Solid as well, but think the York looks a little better, but looks can be deceiving.
Thanks
Jay

Their equipment is heavy duty, but in the case of the pulleys I've found out the same thing, that it's not worth having anything less than something of quality. Call York and find out where there might be a store in your area with one that you can try first. Another alternative that is worthwhile IMO are home multistation leverage machines made by Powertec and the Body Solid Powerlift, that I already know are smooth.
