    pot belly problems

I still have not managed to get rid of my potbelly but I can 'pull it in' (by contracting my ab muscles ) and look quite respectable; if only I could keep it in permanently.

My belly feels like a large chunk of jelly -- doctor says it's not fat but my ab wall is not supporting my guts. (abdominal prolapse)

Would doing ab exercises (like crunches/ leg raises) help?

Ask your doctor exactly whicih muscles he is talking about. Doing stomach vaccuums may help this if it is the transverse abdominals that your doctor is referring to, which I suspect. As well, heavily compound exercises, in particular the squat, will active these muscles in the form of a stabilizer.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
