    Incline or flat bench

Which one do you guys prefer to do first. I normally start out with flat bench presses but it saps most of my strength by the time I get to inclines.
I really wanted to reach 300 pounds on the flat but my upper pecs are way behind the lower pecs.

I do flat first, and since most are weaker on inclines then yes you are going to lift a lot less for several reasons.

I also prefer to do flat bench first then go to incline dumbells (not barbell on incline). My flat bench is 340, however, my incline is 225.

    Same here

I do flat first sometimes, and incline first sometimes. Then sometime i do declien and incline, and sometimes declien and flat. Basically whatever i think up on the drive to the gym, or while im there.

Flat 1st and I hope it zaps all my energy as then i know i was working. Take a little break then hit incline DB's heavy as i can then decline.
Thanks for remainding me it to go hit the bench. Time to work

I switch it up every week. Flat, incline or decline and always switch between db's and bb. I only do 2 presses and then usually 1 isolation exercise per session. i'll sometimes throw in a set or 2 of dips here and there

An incline movement always comes first for me, but I don't really care about how much weight I lift anymore, only about the look of my physique. Thus, if having a bigger bench is your goal, then you should probably start with flat 3 out of every 4 workouts.

If you're concerned with strength, you should be doing a strength routine. If you're concerned with your appearance, then you should read the above post.

And this is true for sure, but I'm sure you would agree that you can still build strength (albeit not optimally) and size at the same time (albeit not optimally).

Certainly. The key to building muscle is that you progressively lift more. And that requires strength increases. I think anyone with the idea they are a "weight lifter" can certainly do that and do both (slowly). But folks who want to get big and folks who want to get strong should be worrying about different things, and doing different things to reach those respective goals optimally.
    yay.
