IMO...seperating resistance training days and cardio days is optimum for fat loss...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

    LAM is right...

Doing it on seperate days minimizes cortisol levels.
Allows you to raise your heart rate and metabolism at 2 seperate instances.
Keeps you from changing your diet from normal to light calories day to day.

    Question

Ive been doing this for the past week and I am thinkin about addin some HITT to day 3 since it is fairly light, and cardio twice a week just doesn't feel like its gonna, (pardon the pun), cut it. Do ya'll think that would boost cortisol? Maybe pop a Gu carb-gel packet about 15minutes before the HIIT to prevent it? and yeah I have skipped legs for a while because I do alot of backpacking which keeps them tip-top, especially in the winter months.

    day 1: Chest,Tris
    day 2: Back, Shoulders
    day 3: Bis, Abs
day 4: HITT (no resistance training)
    Repeat....

Oh yeah, this all takes place in the afternoon, I'm in the books the first part of the day. I always eat B4 my workout as well (about 30 min - hour).

    Any suggestions welcome!

You're not going to make a lot of internet friends that way
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

How bout them Vols? I do get a little leg work throughout the week from Deadlifts, and walking across UT everyday,,, and besides its not permenant, just lettin em rest for a little while as far as major resistance. Also I was kind of viewing day 4 as rest since 7 min of cardio is all i have to do that day. Would you not consider that to be a rest day?

you need to work out a schedule where you work each muscle group just 1 day a week imo. if you dont give your body plenty of time to heal you will not see optimal gains.
