Unhappy Best upper/middle back exercise???

What is the best upper/middle back exercise(s) for thickness. When I turn to the side there is no thickness up top. Please help

Try t-bar rows. Work your traps. Work your rear delts.

Basically, rowing movements.

t-bar rows are excellent, bent over rows, seat rows (cable) ... basically any rows like du510 said

Cable Rows
Dumbell Shrugs while lying face down on a 30 degree incline bench

I agree with what tim said and is my favorite
Dumbell Shrugs while lying face down on a 30 degree incline bench and takes all strain off the lower back compared to bent over rows.
