    Tracking your pulse...

I was just in a serious car accident and I was told I cannot life more than 25 lbs. for a while so instead of lifting to lose body fat I am going to have to use some other method to do so. I am going to walk/jog/run to do so. I have some programs in place that will help me. I need to monitor my heart rate. Does anyone know of any product(s) I can buy in order to effectively monitor my heart rate while doing cardio? If so, where can I buy them? Your comments are greatly appreciated.

oh boy - FINALLY a topic I can add value to!

btw, sorry to hear about your accident

Polar is (I think) the cycling community's #1 brand choice for HRM.s

    http://www.polarusa.com/

    I bought mine at

    http://www.chponline.com/

It's really important to get one where they are certified to service them (you can't replace the batteries yourself - they have to do it)

If you have specific questions, please ask. This book is awesome though..

Thank you for the information. I was able to stumble across the Polar website and there is a store right next to my house that sells/services them. I am gonna check out the store this evening.
