    toning while building muscle

    can anyone tell me how i can succesfully tone my arms while building muscle on them at the same time while losing as less muslce as posible? is there anything i can take to help me do this, or any way to tweek my "diet" to help do this.. thanks.

    Its hard to do both at the same time, try for one goal then go on to the next. Build up an appreciable amount of muscle on your arms (dont forget to work your entire body though) with heavy weights and lower reps, then go on a cut and watch your diet and your arms will be defined. Follow other threads/stickys to find out how to bulk and cut.

    i guess if thats the best way to do it, thats the way ill have to do it then..

    well...in essence everyone who does any weight lifting has "tone"
    If what you want is arms that arent flabby, then you have to build muscle
    and then cut enough fat as to shed the excess fat

    Don't ever try to build muscle while losing fat. Instead, go through a muscle building phase, and then adjust your diet accordingly to enter a cutting/fat loss phase.
