Hip adductor/abductors
What do you guys think of these two exercises? I tried them this morning, and I can tell I'll be hurting tomorrow from them. Just wondering if anyone does them and what you think of them.

I do them too, but it's only recently (about 1 month ago) so I can't really conclude whether did it help much. However, it's alot harder to do than expected, and I feel special for being the only guy to perform this exercise in my gym

I work my adductors and abductors at every leg workout. Isolating these muscles will serve to make you stronger in the big lifts like squats, deadlifts, leg presses, etc, as they are often "weak links" in those exercises. For those who have low bodyfat levels, developing these muscles is something that can be visually appreciated when flexing your legs!
Work these muscles with a medium rep range of about 10-15 reps. |

Like gopro said. They help the compound leg movements.I've heard from a couple of strength coaches that if your knees turn in during the concentric portion of squats, deads or leg presses, that this indicates a weakness in the adductor muscles. If so, these exercises could be viewed as "preventative maintenance" for leg work.

No thanks, I have enough of my own to contend with, thanks for the offer though. I always get sore two days after a workout. Still don't understand the posts that ask if you should be sore in order to get benefit from a workout, I'm almost always a little sore!
