I need some advice, is this the right direction to go or should I be seeing a reguler doctor?I went to the doctor and he simply prescribed medication.

Just be careful Charger man I went to see a Chiropractor for my shoulder injury and he wanted me to keep goin to himfor like forever and charge me 38 bucks per week. Lots of times they will try and suck u in and say its a lifetime thing and if ya dont keep goin back to them for regular maintance your injury will go back to normal. Well in my case what he was doin wasnt doin jack for my shoulder but they do crack your neck wich feels DAMN good! In your case I would go for it it may help you just be careful and not get sucked in Chiropractors are the worst for bein money grubers.

Going to see a chiropractor is a good idea, but do be careful. Many years ago I used a chiropractor for several weeks, and found that they just try to keep you coming to get your money. I even recommended my training partner to this chiropractor, and he told my partner the exact same things he told me! That was when my suspicions arose.
I'm not saying that they are all this way, but that was my experience. Ultimately, I switched to a massage therapist for my back problems. Hopefully, your medical insurance covers chiropractic care. ------------------ Just because the majority believes it, does not make it true! |

I have been to a chiropracor in years past for a work related injury and he did do me some good, BUT! he tried to get me to come every month and so on.
I have tried a chiropracor who actually manipulates you and massages your muscles, the one before just used this hammer thing that reminded you of a sling shot. Anyway I had my second treatment tonight and have noticed a big difference. The best part is he has incouraged me to get back to lifting ( he has a sports background) and left it up to me whether I have another treatment or not.(not money hungry! Prince, yes I do have insurance to cover 80% of the cost anyway but so far it as been well worth it. |
