Protien Shakes + No weight traning.

    Hello,

I am kinda of a newbie to body building. I am 17 and kinda don't any financial backup to buy me some weights or join a gym. I have some protien shakes that I got for free from one of my friends and I would like to know if it would go with no weight traning.

I kinda do push ups, pull ups and all those no weight traning, I am right now 75 kgs and need advice on what to do? and what kinda of non weight traning is effective to working out my upper and lower body with protien shake?

    THANKS

Thats a bummer, weights are FAR cheaper now than when I was getting into things. When I was starting out, a $99 Olympic set was about $300, my weight bench which would cost maybe $69 now was $299 back then, and todays stuff would be better quality to boot.

A standard weight set you could get for about $40, throw it in the back of a car and drive home.

Without a protein requirement (rebuilding damaged muscle tissue) I dont see it doing a lot of good except being extra calories. I'm not saying its worthless, but if all you are doing is pushups/situps/pullups, you will see some differences but not a whole lot with just your bodyweight.

I dont want to discourage you from doing something though, but I wouldn't take more than one serving of that protein per day, post workout. Clean up the diet a bit elsewhere and you may lean out a bit as well.

Thanks the reply, I might try to do some work to earn me some cash to buy me some weights. What does the protien shake do exactly? Increase my weight?

Protien Shake wont do anything without a balenced diet which is optimal for building muscle. Your best bet would be to get your diet sorted out first (protien/carbs/fats) before even looking into taking supplements (becuase Protien Shakes are exactly that supplements)
However to answer your question Protien is made up of Amino Acids which are the "building blocks" of our muscles.
