Wink Mix up exercises, or do one exercise type to destruction?

    Hiya all,

Hope you can throw some advice my way.

I'm asking specifically with regards to "hard Gainers"
(Ie. Compound excercises needed, lots of warm up reps needed etc...)

Is it best to complete all the sets of one type of excercise, before moving to the next? Or can I to alternate between 2 types of exercises?

    eg.
    Dead Lifts
    Dumbell rows
eg. Can I do 2 sets of Dead Lifts, then do 2 sets of Dumbell rows?

I'm thinking in terms of utilising my time in the gym better. Ie. while my legs are recovering from 2 sets of dead lifts, I can exercise another body part...

Or is this alternating a bad idea? (Ie not being intense enough on the body parts, with excessive rests between sets etc.)

    I hope you can advise
    Cheers
    Martin

I prefer to wait between exercises, your explanation above is basically supersetting to a degree. I would finish all sets for an exercise before moving to another. I beat the crap out of myself in the gym so i need all the rest i can get between sets/ exercises. I was and still am an extremely hardgainer btw.
    Damn

Me personally, I only super-set when I'm in a time crunch!!!
