Time To Find Out Who Is Hardcore!!

BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS
High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com
I have started this post to find out who is the most HARDCORE!! on this board forget how much you can bench and where you work out home or gym the three questions I want answers too are
1) What has been your most HARDCORE!! workout (to date) in terms of how much volume shock techniques and types of exersises you have done during this workout. List what you did during this workout!!
2)What is the longest you have ever spent working out in one workout (WEIGHTS ONLY)
3)What is the most you have ever eaten in one sitting (whats the biggest meal you have ever eaten?)
My own answers would be
1)10 SETS OF 10 (to me this is faluire) Chinups fallowed by 10 sets of 10 (with a weight I could originally get 12 reps) Barbell Curls.I then fallowed this with RIOT BOMBING! (which is basically 20 supersets for opposing bodyparts back to back with 30 secs rest between sets with various rep ranges between 4 and 15 reps however I changed it and done it with Dumbell Curls and Barbell Rows).Later on (6 hours later!) I went back and done another hardcore back and Biceps workout including FIASCIA STRETCHING!!
2) My longest workout ever was 3 and a half hours for a Leg Workout.
3)The largest meal I've ever consumed was 8 chicken breasts 5 large baked potatoes and 200 grams of veg!!
Time to find out who is truly HARDCORE!!.

3.5 hours for a leg workout? That's not hardcore, that's a waste of time. I think Duncan Donut's workouts are more hardcore than any of ours, and they only last 20 minutes.

Not bad for a large meal though.

Why is it a waste of time? Arnold used to work out for 2-4 hours at a time sometimes using extreme volume and shocking techniques. His famous Austrian Blitz is supposed to be at least 2 hours solid.
Not that I train this way on a regular basis. I usally spend between an hour to 90 minutes during a workout. However I justwanted to see how long I could push a muscle group being able to crank out that one last rep.Iam very fit due to my Thai Boxing years so I can probably go on longer and recover during sets quicker than most people due to me being very fit.
I only trained this way once as for the DOMs afterwards I phisically couldn't walk for a week!! I sure wouldn't call it useless don't be doing it on a regular basis try it like once every 6 months to one year, I can garantee you big time growth!!

Stupid?!? Oh, I must be in here.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

If it takes you more than an hour to workout a bodypart, you 1)aren't working hard enough or 2)the weight is too light. More than an hour is doing you no good.

1 and 2 are interchangeable and I agree with either/or.

Like I said I only done it once as a shock I never go longer than 1 hour ussally during a workout sometimes I do the odd workout that takes 1 hour 30.
I do not agree with your statement though that if you go more than 1 hour your not working hard enough ,the weight isin't heavy enough and it's doing you no good. A higher volume routine has been proven to release more GH. I always push myself 100 per cent during my workouts whether it be 40 mins or 90 mins is besides the point. Some people can just take more and push themselves harder and longer than other people. This does not mean that they are trainning wrong more the opposite. I have been getting great gains from pushing myself this way.
Pain threshold is inherated from either one of your parents and I've probalby got one of the (if not the highest pain threshold) on this site based on this fact alone (for reasons I'll not get into right now) not meaning to sound like I'am boasting or anything.

I guarantee my brothers leg workout in 20 minutes would make you rethink what hardcore really is.

Your definition of hardcore is enriched with flex magazine buzz words...

The best workout I ever had was the most recent one (everytime I workout I try to improve my focus and intensity). It lasted 20 minutes. I did 450 pound smith-squats for 15 reps, immediately followed by 225 leg extensions for 10 reps, each one held for 3 seconds. It took me 5 minutes to stand up (wherein I finished my workout with calf raises and weighted situps). I have a question: if you consider your above workout to be your best, why don't you do it everytime If you aren't improving your mental focus and commitment every time you get into the gym, you should really try too...

CP and Camaro: thanks for the compliments

Wait, did somebody say "smith-squats "?

Mr. Smith - Have you ever seen anyone base his entire workout around the Smith Machine? Most savvy lifters are well versed in the limitations (and evils) of the Smith machine. However, Mr. Smith treats it like a long lost relative and tries to spend as much time on or around it as possible. Bench press? Check. Squat? Check. Incline press? Check. Upright row and lean way back? Check. Extra shearing on his joints? Check. Injury? On it's way.

Joking aside, I thought that doing squats on a smith machine was supposed to be bad for your back?

It is an economic reality I deal with. I can't go to failure any other way.

Hard on your knees.

Someone should invent a Smith machine with an adjustable slide.

As far as my endeavor is concerned (college football) the one set with huge loads of weight has been fine. My doctor says I am A-OK so all I can do is what I can do

Power rack would be nice, though.

Flex magazine! I don't even read Flex ! or Muscle and fitness for that matter. I got my workout from a source more hardcore than damn Flex
Your workouts not bad not enough volume for my liking.
Well for obvious reasons I wouldn't do the same workout everytime due to it being to long and cortisol production would be so high, with that amount of time it would have taken my body a few weeks or even months to recover. I would consider the workout in answer 2 to be my best however I always like to change things up and stop my body adapting to the stress of the same workout which is why I never do the same workout more than twice.
It's not that I couldn't go this all the time or I make my workouts easier more the opposite.I like to try knew things out and see what works best for me.

My hard workouts have nothing to do with lifting weights.

Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The point is, IONOR, that high volume doesn't dictate hardcore; high intensity does. If you go until absolute failure, then you wouldn't be able to do very many sets for the aforementioned muscle group.

Also, I can't believe you mentioned Arnold. Yeah, the guy who has been doing steroids since he was 13 and has the genetics of a God does it, so me too!
