    Decissions...Decissions....

So here is my question: To bulk, or continue dieting/loosing?

I have been cutting/loosing since early April and I am now down a total of 63lbs. I've been keeping a strict eye on my strength levels and try and gage any loss in body-fat. So far everything looks good. My eventual goal is to start packing on the muscle, but i'm trying to figure out if I should complete my loss first, or can I begin to intake more good-calories and start bulking? My diet seems stable for weight-loss and my workout routine is helping me keep what I have. If I were to keep dieting I think I could loose a total of around 100 - 115 LBS and be pretty average looking with a little more muscle than your average Joe. Currently I'm around 6'1" 262 lbs not precisely sure about BF%. I have a digital caliper but I don't know how accurate it is. I think the last time I tested it gave me a ready around 23%.

I wanted to get some general ideas on where to go from here. I don't have a problem dieting until I have lost most if not all my excess weight if that is the best plan. I would like to make sure my goal is on track to get the desired results.

Anyway, sorry for the long winded post. Hope you have some ideas.

Well no one can really help you decide this very much. Just take a few minutes and sit down and think about what YOU want. It's your body, so you just have to think of what you'd rather start doing. I'm a little overweight too, but I've decided to lift weights and get stronger rather than diet. After all, if you build more muscle, that extra muscle will help you burn more fat, even if you're not doing anything. So eventually, the fat will basically come off until you're at a healthy level. But that's just me, so maybe a more experienced member can chime in and give better advice...

if you are still losing weight consistently i would keep dieting. if your weight loss has slowed then i would bulk up a little and get your metabolism revving again. the choice is really up to you...the fat has to come off at some point regardless.
