When I first started working out, a few months ago, I found many excuses not to workout. I don't feel good. I don't have the time. I'd rather get some extra sleep. There was a little voice making excuses not to work out. That was then.
Five days ago I came down with a sinus infection. Five days ago. I'm almost over it and I'll likely workout tomorrow. But it'll be a total of six days.
Now, every time I look at a piece of equipment, that little voice speaks up but the message has changed. When I look at my bench I hear, "Hey, why not squeeze in a couple sets of benching?" Gaze over at the EZ curl, "No ones gonna know if pump out a couple reps of triceps extensions". A glance at the squat rack, "A couple of squats would probably feel real good".
It's funny how my self-talk has changed. I just thought I'd share this with the group. It's kinda funny.
Oh, and hey, can you spare a couple a reps of leg extensions?
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.
