    Cleans

I have just been introduced to cleans. The question I have is during which BP work out should I incorporate them? BTW, I did try the search feature to no avail.

I usually put them on my leg day since it is an explosive lift starting with the loading of the hamstrings. You could also put them on shoulder day as they do work the traps (during the shrug portion) and the shoulders (decelerating for the catch). It is okay to do them on shoulder day and then still lift legs heavy on another day during the week because they are an explosive lift they work a bitt differently then lifting for strength. When I train on an upper and lower split I usually do strength one day and then explosive the next.

Thanks for the replies. After some research I see that what I was introduced to was the "Clean and Press" So I guess its more of a Back or Shoulder day excercise.

I would put it on back or leg day. I certainly recommend the movement.

Cleans are awesome. I do them in Shock week of P/RR/S routine and incorporate them on back/traps day.
I agree with the sentiments of others, in that they are not a classic BB movement. But for overall development (particularly back/traps) and POWER!!! they are great to throw into the routine once in a while.

if u r doing cleans like the picture you see u r pretty much wasting your time. olympic style cleans/hang cleans are the best way to do them. i would also advise against doing them if u have have no one to show you the proper form b/c not only are they useless if u do them wrong they can also be very dangerous. they are good for shocking your body but my severely overdeveloped upper traps can attest that they are not the best bodybuilding exercise (although they have their uses in sports specific training). in my opinion, there are much better exercises u can do to develope your body.
