    clarify once and for all

Hey I'd like to clarify this once and for all (I did a search on the net and many different answers came up).

What exercises do you do to work your medial head of your tricep, that is the head which is closest to your elbow.

(some other questions are: which heads does bench pressing work? and which heads does close grip bench press work?)

medial head = dips hit them best
all pressing movements(bench press, CG bench press etc) stress your lateral(outer) head more, where as most elbow extension movements(especially overhead extensions) stress your long(inner) head more. Extension movements with a reverse grip also works the lateral head equally.

    peace out

I'd say that most exercises that hit the lateral head will hit the medial head as well, plus the medial head's fairly insignificant in relation to the other two anyway.

Specifically for the medial head, i'd say the last 1/3 of the motion involving pushdowns on a pulley, especially if using rope handles brought out to the sides at the bottom of the motion, or the last 1/3 motion of dips, close grip benches or kickbacks-do some burns on any of these..

Do exercises that allow you to use the most weight wherein the tricep performs it's primary function...

    similar question

I was just gonna ask a similar question but I saw this one. My arms are kinda skinny where the triceps are. What exercises are good for making the arms really thick? If you can understand that haha
    Thanks

Use as much weight as you can progressively for as many reps in a range that you feel comfortable with and eat right..
