weight loss challenge

I am a periodic lifter. I lift iron in all three categories bb fitness and powerlifting. I've mostely done powerlifting, but I am 300 plus lbs. Last I checked I was around 313. I'm not a total fat slob. I actually bench 600lbs with a double poly inzer annihilator at 6ft at 19yrs old (believe it or not) but at this point my goal is to get in shape and fit and keep as much muscle as I can. I plan on going back to powerlifting once I get to a good weight and I am happy with my weight loss. Right now my goal is to lose short term is 30lbs. Mid term is 50lbs and Long term is to lose 70lbs. I plan on losing the 70lbs within the next 365 days. 30lbs within the next 3 months, and 50lbs within the next 6 months. I am going to lift BB-Fitness style and just go for good reps and good pump. Eat moderately ect.

The reason for change. number of reasons. I need to change my life. I don't like not having a girlfriend. I've had offers but I'm not comfortable with myself to go on a relationship. injuries. But further more. I want to lose it to be an example. An example of Jesus Christ. I'm a Christian and I need to act like one. I shouldn't have to tell someone I'm a Christian they should know I am through actions, actions speak louder than words. I know that Jesus would not be proud of me being the way I am.

I'm also asking if anyone in this forum has had experience in losing weight and if they could share some of their insight that would be awesome. Keep in mind I don't want to become a skeleton. I want to keep as much muscle as I can through the process but I'm willing to lose as much strength as I need to get to my goal. Strength will come back eventually with persistance.

I wouldn't adjust your training too terribly...don't train for a pump, don't overtrain and be in the gym too long. Also the structure of your goals is well organized, I'd bet you will easily achieve your goals.
