No pump
i have been working out consistently for about a year and i have gained probably 8-10 lbs of muscle. the only problem is that none of that has gone to my biceps, its all in my chest and legs. when i first started working out, i would get unbelievably hard pumps, but now i dont get a pump at all. i have never done the same workout for more than 4 weeks. what can do i have to do to get my pump back? are my biceps even growing without the pump? the rest of my body is doing fine (except for the abs, of course), i just need help with this and i know u guys are the ones to come to. thanks in advance.

You said that they did not grow, but you are asking anyway? Pump does not define growth, use a cloth or soft plastic flexible tape measure.
If you want pump, you can do high reps on everything, but it may well not be as good for growth and certainly not strength. |

Most likely your diet is the issue. Check out the diet & nutrition section.

mudge: sorry, i meant that after the initial year, they have not done anything. they grew a little bit, but only about a .25 inches. i guess i am asking for some good exercises.
cowpimp: i am working on my diet right now. i havent decided if i want to cut or try and put on some more muscle first. i weigh 160 and prolly have a bf of around 15-17% and i am 5'8, what do u think? |

I do 2-3 sets of hammers and 2 sets of standing alternate dumbell curls. Growth comes slowly eventually, but the diet has to be there to support any kind of weight gain and growth for that to occur at less than snails pace.
