Smith Machine
I am a relative newbie (four months) and have started to do squats. However, my gym doesn't have a power rack and I don't go as heavy as I think I can in case I injure myself.
Is there any point doing squats with a smith machine? Everyone seems to say bad things about smith machines. |

I have gotten great results from doing squats on the smith machine, and have never had any pain or injury. Having said that, i prefer & recommend free weight squats anyway. I use smith mostly for one legged squats and thats it.
