Powerlifting methods

I've read a lot about the strength gains powerlifters experience, especially early on. I'd like to try it, to see how I would respond and what kind of strength gains I could make. I have had problems finding specifics on the best method to start. I am looking for advice on upping my bench especially. Any powerlifters out there that have a good program to start out?
