    Cable Crunches HELLLLLLPPP!!!!

    Hi alll

Here's the problem...I'm trying to increase the weight on my cable crunches, however...when I inch up the weight stack, my body isn't heavy enuff to keep me on the floor I don't have a partner to sit on me either that option is out! There's just gotta be a way around this...thoughts, insights, offers to hold me down are welcome!

At my gym there is a newer machine where you strap these things across your chest, and you stand with your back against a backrest. it's essentially a cable crunch but you're standing upright and crunching from that position with the weight/cables attached to your torso. Pretty nifty, though I've never used it myself.

Instead of having a partner sit on you, have a 45 pound plate sit on you...
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

Try a different exercise: Crunches on a Swiss Ball. Hold a weight on your upper chest and do crunches this way. Make sure you're not using your hip flexors and lower back to do the movement, which is probably what you're mostly doing during heavy cable crunches.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
