OK . ok.. time to stop palying around - now that I have a real good diet - what are the best workouts to get the chiseled abs. BF is going down and I'm now ready to see them - looks like I can see the frame of the abs all of the time. but now want the individual bumps to look awesome!..
I've been doing the straight leg raises (while hanging from a pull-up bar) and situps
honestly bro,
i only 2 do exercizes, and IMO that's all you need.
I do hanging leg raises and twisting crunches.
When it comes to building abs, it's actually very simple, yet kinda tricky.
Most important things are:
1. Squeeze through the movement with your ABS. on hanging raises, don't raise with your legs, but rather contract your lower abs.
2. breathe out ALL your air when you get to the top of the movement
3. contract as hard as you can at the top of the movement, with all the air out of your lungs (this way you get a full contraction).
do that, with a good diet, and you're on your way to good abs.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

Bumpin what Flex said.
....I also like doing weighted exercises + dont forget to hit your obliques too
I stress again from above that it is important to flex your abs and not use the back or leg muscles in these exercises. Also, your tongue muscle is connected to your abdominals and so by keeping your tongue touching the roof of your mouth throughout the entire exercise, you get an even greater push from the abdominals, try it. In addition, the abs are a smaller muscle, so rest time between exercises should be no more than about 20-30 seconds for maximum breakdown.
Working your obliques will fuck up your V-taper. I think it was in Muscle and Fitness (maybe Flex) a month or two ago where they asked a bunch of pro's their most hated exercise; most of them said obliques and that they were horrible to work.
Let's all join together and SPEAK ENGLISH IN AMERICA.
cardio. period. if you want abs, cardio is the way to go. workin out doing crunches, leg raises, cptn chair raises n such will build the muscle, but if you want to be able to SEE your abs, cardio is the only way to go. theres no such thing as spot reducing fat. reducing fat in your abdominal area means reducing your whole body fat percentage...

everybody has abs. havent you ever seen those bone-a** skinny guys walking around n they have the meanest abs ever? you use your abs in everything u do..theyre the core of your body so are always working no matter what. u dont need to do ab workouts to get abs..everyone has em...its just a matter of uncovering em. "working" your abs will only make them stick out more, like those body-builder guys whos abs stick out just as much as their chests
I just do crunchs on the floor, all kinds of crunchs, usually 3 to 4 sets of 25. Every other day. Dang I need to lay off the eatting to get these back! Got a nice little layer of pudge on them right now.
