farmer walks

Anyone ever do them and see results?

I have yet to see them done but I always hear about them.

People probably don't do them for fear of looking silly trying to walk around the gym with huge dumbell's. However, I'd think they'd work really well.

What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

yeah, they are excellent!!

It is hard to do them in the gym because you can't really walk around and then drop the dumbells when your grip gives out. One idea is you can do them outside (like in your backyard) or if you live in the city like me (and don't have a yard) you can do them in your gym's aerobic room. You still can't drop dumbells on the wood floor so go to an army/navey surplus store and get 2 canvas duffel bags. Then go to the local hard ware store and get a few 50lb bags of sand. Fill the bags with the sand and there ya go. Grab the bottom of the bag (where there is no handel), so you are holdin ghte bag itself and start walking. Also, hold the sides and try doing hammer curls with it and you can even try doing some reps of clean and press with it. All round good fun to be had by all.

hell ya it works the traps. just keep your arms still from swinging while holding the weights.

I used to use straps cuz i'd walk with real heavy weights, and the forearms couldnt take it. but now i alternate b/w straps/no straps

You could always put the dumbbells in your pocket and walk around quietly. Everybody would think that you are quite horny but you wonīt look silly.

I don't know about that. All the art museums are on the east side. The park is nice over hear and we have the resivoir. Although east river park is cool we do have Carl Shurtz park which is a nice view over the east river.

All the real cool stuff is down town though.

I used to live in Park Slope, Brooklyn.....F' brooklyn.

there are a bunch of other art museums. The Guggenhiem is up here and there are a few more, can't remeber the names. They are all along the park though between like 78th and 92nd street.

my cheap studio is $1190.00 a month.
