I do a combination of sprint/interval training and a couple of more moderate longer duration session (not to many of these though as they tend to burn more muscle than sprints). Usually aim for around 4-6 days per week, depending on your current conditioning and what your weight training is like.

I usually do HIIT cardio 2-3 times per week on my days off from lifting.

The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

it doesnt make sense to me. 15 minutes of HIIT cardio for 3 days a week burning a considerable amount of fat for u. That is like 45 minutes total and i usually do 45 minutes every day on a elliptical. Is HIIT really that much better?

It's not about how many calories you burn actually performing the cardio. The idea is to raise your basal metabolic rate so you can burn more calories around the clock. Perform the HIIT cardio in the morning after you eat some breakfast. Your metabolism will stay elevated all day long. The same is true for resistance training.

Diet is the most important variable when it comes to losing fat anyway.

I do 30 minutes twice a day, four times a week. Most of cutting is your diet.
