Cardio: Basketball vs Treadmills/Bikes etc...
Question for the veteran workout pro's out here. I really hate running on those eliptical (sp?) machines and all that other garbage. I really enjoy playing basketball though. At my gym, we usually have some very intense games and I always work up one hell of a sweat. My heart rate usually is up there as well.
If I were to play a half hour of b'ball, would that be sufficient each day for my cardio? I also lift for 45 minutes each day as well prior the b'ball. Thanks, Eric |

Sackin' up every day

basketball is an awesome workout, especially if it is full court. Play basketball for your cardio if the others are boring, 2 pickup games should suffice for a good cardio session. Back in school we would play forever, sometimes 3 straight hours of games if we kept winning. I never got more ripped and cut up then when i played ball 3-4 times a week.
