Awfully big assumptions. I know how to lift and couldn't give a crap if the gym was empty or full, i'm there for myself.

Liting a weight in it's proper plane and lowering it are completely different.
If you're working out on Decline by yourself,to the brink of failure and no one is around to spot, please explain to me how you lower the weight slowly to the floor without putting your shoulder in a comprimising position....

As I said, I only do it when the gym is empty and can't get a spot.( this has happened all of two times i believe). Thus, if the gym is empty, no one can hear the weight being dropped and no one is there to get startled...even though my gym has a pretty good flooring.

For me PERSONALLY, i don't do it b/c i don't lift properly. i certainly don't do it b/c i want attention. i do it b/c i am fired up, plain and simple.

I just drop the weights straight down outta my hands (either sides of the bench), i don't even think about it, i don't want attention WTF? i'm working out for me! no one else! fuck what anyone else is thinking

best one is barbell shrugs, and my new gym has no rack for the barbells!

when my grip goes.. its 150kg of weight straight to the gym floor, make a HUGE ASS CLANKKK!! but its either train hard (till I have no grip left) or train wimpy (and cut the set short), and training hard is the only way I know!

    peace

The gym is like any other public place I go into. Respect me and I respect you. I pick up after myself always. If you are next to me and you are trying to get through your lift I'll not be bothering you in any way. My music is not too loud and I am not going to scream in your damn ear. Conversly, don't throw your shit in my zone. I paid to be here so leave me alone. I do not want to hear your music. You arn't being forced to listen to my shit so keep it even. You don't have to pick up my shit so pick up your own. You wanna scream .... scream. Just don't do it 8 feet from my head or you will piss me off. I don't bother you so do not bother me. Keep it even. I always treat people with respect and only ask the same in return. Act selfish and disrespect me we will get to swinging pretty fast. JMHO.

OK - when doing heavy flat dumbell presses, what is the proper way to put the dumbells down? I'm asking because i dont' want any shoulder injuries. I can do a situp with relatively lighter dumbells, but not the heavy ones. - I don't want to just drop them, my pussy gym doesn't like it.
I'm coming in the gym, i'm coming at home, i'm coming in front of 25,000 people...it's fantastic!

Seriously man. It takes like what, 10 seconds at most to restack the dumbells. When I got to my gym there are often freeweights lying around everywhere and its not exactly safe to move around in that case.

He proceeds to lay down on the bench, and read a magazine. He does not one iota of work, save for 30 seconds after he gets on when he adjust the height of the decline bench, only to return to his sedintary position. By the time I'm done, he still doesn't move. I just proceeded to my next exercise and let him have his fatass time.

He finally gets up, leaves his magazine, and dissapears into the abyss of the gym. Basically, I saw him walk into the gym, lay down for 5-10 minutes on the bench, and leave without his magazine. He wasn't in the cardio room, the locker room, or anywhere else. What the Hell is that?

    Now, go do 10 sets!
You obviously dontknow much do you? This is a new workout and It realy hits the abs.

I try not to drop any weights, but sometimes it's difficult to control my deadlifts. When I get to my 1 rep max it usually hits the floor pretty hard. I hope that it doesn't bother anyone around me, and it's usually just that one time. I'm still aware of it though.

I saw a guy practically throwing an EZ curl bar after doing standing bicep curls the other day. That was quite obnoxious.

When I do inclines, I generally have enough trouble just getting the weights on my knees before the set. After the set, the bastards are flying. I don't give a fuck what the people around me think at that point. I need to get the weights down off my knees. I'm too exhausted to even attempt lowering them. I have no beef at all with people dropping 400+ barbells next to my head if it prevents them from getting injured or otherwise suits them better. I rarely pay them any mind. What I can't are certain individuals who yell on top of their lungs like little bitches starting on the first rep of the warmup set. That DOES break my concentration.
