Question Difference between deadlifts

What's the main difference between a normal deadlift (fairly narrow grip, squat down to pick up weight, stand erect and lock out with straight back), a straight-legged deadlift (stand with knees slightly bent, use back to lift weight and lock out with straight back), and a sumo deadlift (legs much farther apart, same squatting action as normal deadlift, and lock out with straight back) as far as what benefits they do for you? Which gives you the most all-around power? Would it be wise to do different types, or is one good enough for most everything? Thanks in advance.

As for power, it depends. The standard deadlift and sumos are all you will see in competition, pick which one works best for you.

SLDLs are a good hamstring warmup.

What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

I do. They are also an excellent accessory exercise to improve your deadlift numbers.
